About the Course
The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety course provides an extensive understanding of the general health and safety issues that affect organisations of all types, and enables risks to be managed effectively.
The IGC e-learning course is designed for employees, managers and supervisors around the globe, so that they have the knowledge of how to fulfil their responsibilities in health and safety in any country and in any kind of workplace.
The NEBOSH International General Certificate e-learning course also provides a dependable platform for those who wish to progress on to the NEBOSH International Diploma.
Course Content
The IGC e-learning course encompasses an assortment of workplace hazards and methods of control, and includes reference to international standards relating to the management of health and safety at work. This is mirrored in the three units that embody the qualification:
- Unit IGC1 – Management of Health and Safety
- Unit GC2 – Controlling Workplace Hazards
- Unit GC3 – Health and Safety Practical Application
Assessment
The NEBOSH International General Certificate online course is separated into three assessed units. The assessment phase is comprised of two written examinations – one for Unit IGC1 and one for unit GC2 – and a work-based practical examination for Unit GC3. All three units must be completed within a 5-year time-scale for students to achieve the full qualification.

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer NEBOSH IGC classroom training. However, we do provide NEBOSH National General Certificate, National Construction Certificate and National Fire Certificate classroom courses at our training centre in Manston, Kent.
Our assessors will tailor the course to your business’ needs, by finding out what it is exactly you require from the course to implement within your company. Our NEBOSH course is based at our fully-equipped Kent training centre, with refreshments and lunch provided.
